Couples, Families & Children

 

Growing up with a larger family, I know how meaningful portraits can be to family, after all these are the people that mean so much to you! The images will mean a lot now but will mean a lot more to you later on in life. I also know how dysfunctional a family can be..trust me! I also know that as hard as you try, things don't always go as planned. My style of shooting tends to be very relaxed and fun. ​During these types of sessions, I don't want anyone to feel as though they need to watch the clock, you don'y have anything to worry about. Whether you're getting couples photos and your husband-to-be smiles like Chandler Bing, Grandma won't stop talking during family photos or there is that one toddler that just wants to run away the entire time...be there done that, from both sides of the camera so absolutely no judgement on my end! I can provide location suggestions, but if you feel as though the backyard or even the living room is the most comfortable place, then I would be more than happy to come to you!

For couples, families & children, all session fees are the same amount for one to ten people. After ten people there will be a slight up charge depending on the number of people I will be working with.

Newborns

There is nothing like those first few weeks when your baby is so tiny, perfect and you are head over heels in love! My style is very natural, with very limited posing and props. I want newborns to look like newborns. I want to document their little fingers and toes and even stick mom and dad in those photos as well.

 

I may bring a few blankets or wraps but I try to use the blankets and wraps you already have, maybe something that means something to you! The majority of the session will consist of relaxing shots around the home. Locations I may possibly use, with your agreement would be the baby's room, parents room, family/living room, etc. I'll take individual photos of the baby in various locations as well as family shots and shots of natural interactions such as cuddling and rocking. ​​
